Generation of posts, images and videos using artificial intelligence: a free PostRest service

In the world of content marketing and SMM, the most important thing is regularity. But for most startups, entrepreneurs, and freelancers, it turns into pain: no time, no ideas, no resources. We decided to close this problem and created PostRest, a free service for generating and self—publishing posts on social networks.

In this article, we will tell you how we approached the task, why we chose Yandex AI for text generation, and how now everyone can launch their content strategy in a couple of clicks.

Why did we do this?

At the MVP stage, we tested the hypotheses of automating publications in Telegram and VKontakte. And we immediately ran into an obvious user question.: "And where to get the content?"

It turned out that even the basic templates of "fasting for the day" are valuable. And if you generate them individually for the theme, style and tonality, you can give the user the feeling that he has a full-fledged copywriter in the cloud.

The generation takes 5-10 seconds and takes place on the basis of Yandex GPT, built through the API. We tested different models and chose Yandex specifically for:

• Russian-language accuracy,
• adequate style,
• flexible pricing (which allows you to keep the free tariff for generation).

Image generation

Our service already supports image generation using AI. To create visual content, the user just needs to go to the "Images (AI)" section through the left menu. Then click the "Generate image" button. A modal window will appear where you can enter a detailed prompt describing the desired image. The detail of the print directly affects the quality and accuracy of the resulting image.

For those who want to get the most accurate result, the "Advanced Settings" button is provided. Here you can select the field of activity, specify unwanted elements, set the image style, aspect ratio, color palette, lighting, composition, resolution, and perspective.

Our service already supports video generation using AI. The user can go to the "Video (AI)" section by selecting the appropriate item in the left menu. There are two options available to create a video clip:

• "Create a video clip"
• "Animate an image"

In the near future, the service plans to add the ability to add musical accompaniment to created videos.

• Specify the task: the more detailed the prompt, the more accurate the result.
• Use keywords: keywords will help the AI to understand the essence of the task more precisely.
• Specify the style and tonality: this will help the AI get into the right intonation and atmosphere of the text.
• Keep in mind the target audience: specify who exactly the content is being created for so that it is as relevant as possible.
